Pocketful of Sunshine

For our amazing 2nd grade teacher, I made a little box that looks like a pocket to present a gift from our classroom. I wrapped a few chocolates with matching paper and used them to weigh down the bag a bit so it would stand up straight. I stamped a pair of sunglasses and a few bills of money to decorate the box, added a card and gift and closed the bag with a pretty gift tag.

The thank you card was inspired by the new Stampin'Up! catalog and so was the gift tag.

I love how delicate and detailed the tag looks with the vine and birds. I already know I will be making lots of these amazing tags in many different colors. And I'm sure this tag will return in other blog posts, because I can't wait to use it to make little boxes and bookmarks. I am wondering what else I could make with these intricate dies! Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Beautiful Bunch Flower Thank You Cards

To stay with the flower theme, here is a fun set of Thank You notes that I made, inspired by one of Dena Rekow's cards. They all consist of some background stamping on the card base in bright and happy colors, and some colored and stamped card layers for extra dimension which also highlights the color of the flower on each card. I have a really hard time to chose, because I love all of them, but which one is your favorite card? Tomorrow I will show you one of the teacher gifts I made this year for our fabulous 2nd grade teacher this year.

Stampin'up Stamps: Beautiful Bunch, Cottage Greetings and various background stamps
Stampin'up Inks: Dapper Denim, Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Mint Macaron, Granny Apple Green
Stampin'up Punches: Fun Flower Punch

Thank You Flower Card

Don't you love the happy colors of this beautiful thank you card? The flower was made by stamping and punching individual petals and some leaves and arranging them to create this beautiful flower and lots of dimension on this card. Embossing is one of my favorite techniques and it provides the perfect background for the flower on the card base. I couldn't resist drawing a faux stitched line around the banner with a white gel pen and added more texture to the card with some burlap. Please check back tomorrow for another project perfect for the summer!

Stampin'up Inks: Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Petal Pink, Pear Pizzazz
Stampin'up Embossing Folders: Petal Burst
